More than 100 clinic staff and partners attended the Reach Out and Read Wisconsin annual meeting on Oct. 5 in the Wisconsin Dells. The event featured a keynote presentation by Catherine Compton-Lilly of the University of South Carolina and a moderated Q&A session with children’s book authors Miranda and Baptiste Paul. Richard Strauss, retired pediatrician, was recognized for his work founding the first Reach Out and Read clinic in Wisconsin more than 20 years ago. Attendees enjoyed structured networking and 188 clinics received awards for training and participation.
