About Our AmeriCorps Members and Students

Are you a student interested in public health? The Alliance offers AmeriCorps members and college students the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of public health issues. Our AmeriCorps members and students experience public health concepts in action, such as grants, program planning, implementation, data and evaluation. As a part of the Alliance team, you will have opportunities to attend a variety of coalition meetings, conferences and special events to further your personal and professional development.

Our Commitment

At the Alliance, we believe in the importance of fostering and developing the next generation of the public health workforce. Since 2013, we have been a committed host site for AmeriCorps members. In addition, we have many students that choose to do their public health internship, community health internship, field placement or capstone work with us.

AmeriCorps and Student Blog

Whether we are conducting a school walkthrough, hosting a book reading for children, or preparing Pediatric Comfort Kits, we look forward to sharing our experiences at the Alliance. We will periodically post about various activities to highlight our work. Our hope is that prospective students or AmeriCorps members who are interested in working here get a good idea of what we do, and if this is a good fit for your career goals.
