Chief Joe Pfaff of Stoddard Bergen Fire Department has been named Wisconsin EMSC’s 2018 Pediatric Champion of the Year. This award recognizes Wisconsin emergency medical service (EMS) providers, crews or stations nominated for outstanding pediatric care in a medical emergency or trauma event, and exceptional effort in pediatric training, quality improvement programs or child injury prevention.
With more than 25 years of EMS experience, Chief Pfaff leads pediatric education efforts at his department, ensuring their pediatric medical bag is well stocked and that every member of their team is extensively trained on using items in the bag.
