Reach Out and Read Wisconsin (ROR) received the Outstanding Achievement in Family Literacy Award at Wisconsin Literacy’s Celebration of Literacy event in Madison. ROR Wisconsin was honored to be included among the many inspiring award recipients which included adult learners, English language learners, tutors, volunteers and health literacy advocates from across the state.
ROR Wisconsin is a statewide affiliate of the national, evidence-based program that gives young children a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and educating parents about the importance of reading during well-child visits. ROR Wisconsin is the 7th largest affiliate in the country, with more than 205 clinics providing books and advice to families every day. The program is managed by Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin.
