This past April, we completed three years of funding from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This funding helped us build a network of low-cost air quality sensors in Milwaukee. We are proud of the program we built through strong partnerships.
What is Love My Air Wisconsin?
Love My Air Wisconsin (LMA WI) is a school-based program. It gives schools real-time air quality data through sensors. School staff and families can use this data to make smart choices about when students spend time outdoors. Learn more here.
Our new story map
For our final program evaluation and funding report, our partners at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) helped us create a story map to highlight our work. This online, visual summary shows our three years of work on the LMA WI program.
The story map includes:
- The purpose of this work.
- Background and program development.
- Program reach and components.
- Success stories and partner highlights.
- The future of the program.
We thank the EPA for supporting a new program that helps the health of Milwaukee residents. In these first three years, we learned a lot while building the Love My Air Wisconsin program. We created a strong model that other areas can use.
Follow the growth of LMA WI
We are working to expand the program into new counties statewide. Thank you to all our partners for your support. We are excited to keep growing with your trust!
