Spring is a busy time for many reasons! Spring sports begin, school events and end-of-year activities fill our calendars and house projects resume (once everything thaws). For many people, spring represents a fresh start; for others, it just means allergy season.
Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin’s (the Alliance) environmental health initiative embraced the busyness of spring and used the season to connect with many of our partners and the communities we work with!
Celebrating awareness events
April and May are eventful months in the environmental health world, as they bring many opportunities to highlight important topics that impact everyone! Here are some of the key awareness days that we celebrated:
- Earth Day (April 22)
- Air Quality Awareness Week (May 5-9)
- Clean Air Month (May)
- Asthma Awareness Month (May)
Hitting the road
We were able to share our asthma and Love My Air Wisconsin program resources at several professional conferences and community events statewide.

Springing forward with a new statewide plan
To stay on theme, we launched the new Wisconsin Asthma Plan 2026-2029 in May. You can view the new plan here!
We are excited to continue our work together to address asthma in Wisconsin.
