Happy New Year!

My first few months at Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin (the Alliance) have flown by, and I can hardly believe that it’s already a new year! The holiday season was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the people I’ve been working with through conversations about family, holiday traditions, and more. Now, as the holidays wind down and 2023 stretches out ahead, I’m finding time to reflect on what I’ve done at the Alliance so far, and what I can look forward to this year.

Since starting my service at the Alliance in October, I’ve had the chance to work on a broad range of interesting projects, from data analysis to program outreach, grant writing, social media work, and more. Every project I’ve been fortunate enough to work on has taught me a bit more about the particular area of public health that it addresses, and each person I’ve met has given me a look at a new and unique perspective. Over the course of a few short months, I feel I’ve been able to get acquainted with an entire world that I didn’t know existed before. I’ve also had many opportunities to reflect on how I can develop myself as a professional and improve the quality of my work. As I go into 2023, I can’t help but be grateful for all the chances I was given to learn and grow in 2022.

With how much meaningful and interesting work I’ve been able to get involved with just these past few months, I’m excited for the year ahead. I got a lot of work done at the end of 2022, and I’m entering 2023 with the capacity to take on whatever new and interesting projects are coming next. I can’t wait to get more involved with the initiatives I’ve been working with at the Alliance so far, get deeper into the work, and continue learning and improving.
