The medical home initiative had the opportunity to exhibit at the Circles of Life Conference hosted by Family Voices in May – what an incredible experience it was!

Celebrating community
The Circles of Life Conference is an annual two-day event for families who have children with disabilities and the professionals who support them. It was so fun to have kids join us at the conference – seeing kids and parents interact with one another and build relationships throughout the event truly reminded us why this work matters so much.

The conference created natural opportunities for families to connect, share and find community. Something that can be so valuable when navigating the unique challenges that come with raising a child with disabilities.

Learning from families
One of the key highlights of the conference was the opportunity to hold a 30-minute focus group with parents to get feedback on our learning sessions designed for families and professionals. Families were so eager to share their experiences and perspectives and the feedback they shared was so thoughtful. We’re excited to incorporate their suggestions into our work!

We really enjoyed exhibiting and chatting with families and professionals. We’re already looking forward to attending in the future and hope to see you there!
