At the 2017 Wisconsin Public Health Association (WPHA) Annual Conference, Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin’s (Alliance) executive director, Karen Ordinans, was honored with the Carol Graham Lifetime Achievement Award. This award was created in honor of the late Carol Graham with the purpose “to recognize special career-spanning contributions, through leadership, advocacy or service to public health in Wisconsin.”

WPHA award nominations are submitted by health professionals working for various organizations throughout the state. Karen’s nomination emphasized how her leadership and career truly embodies the Carol Graham Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ordinans said, “I am grateful for the opportunity I had to know and learn from Carol. I am honored to receive this recognition in her name.”

The Alliance thanks Karen for her continuous support, dedication and passion as executive director and all she has done and continues to do for children and families in Wisconsin. Congratulations Karen!
