The Milwaukee Health Care Partnership (MHCP) hosted the MHCP Showcase and Social on May 29 at the Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Water Tower Commons. As part of the partnership, the Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin oral health initiative was in attendance and showcased work being done through the Milwaukee Oral Health Coalition (MOHC).
Making a difference
The goal of the MHCP Showcase and Social was to help partners learn more about what MHCP does and a chance to see our current programs and activities.

The Alliance’s oral health team presents to Gil Peri, president and chief executive officer of Children’s Wisconsin, and attendees hear from Advocate Aurora Health, Ascension Wisconsin, Children’s Wisconsin and Froedtert Health.
This gave MHCP members and partners a chance to get familiar with, and celebrate, our collective impact.
Many different MHCP members and partners including health care leaders, government officials and community collaborators were invited.
Under the MHCP umbrella, the MOHC works to create real change to improve oral health. We do this through diverse public and private partnerships that bring access to care throughout Wisconsin and Milwaukee County.
A community committed to oral health
The MHCP Showcase and Social showed why community health matters. In Milwaukee, Advocate Aurora Health, Ascension Wisconsin, Children’s Wisconsin and Froedtert Health work together to:
- Reduce unequal health outcomes.
- Share services to help more people.
- Make real change in our community.
The four health care systems are taking a unique approach to community health. Instead of just talking about health problems, they are working together to solve them.
Making health care better
It is great to be part of a community that truly cares about the health and well-being of its residents.
Instead of working alone, we come together to remove barriers and make health care better for our entire community.
