Everyone should have access to nutritious, affordable and culturally relevant food

Food plays a powerful role. It is nourishment and connects health, traditions and relationships. Eating nutritious foods helps people manage illnesses like diabetes and heart disease. It can even prevent disease in the first place.

Food is Medicine is a growing movement focused on the power of nutritious food to prevent disease and promote health. The Wisconsin Food is Medicine movement is working to create integration across the work of organizations and the needs and voice from communities.

Our vision is that all Wisconsin residents and communities have equal access to high-quality, nourishing food that supports their personal preferences and good health. Our mission is to build connections and improve nutrition security through community engagement, research, training, policy and advocacy.

Wisconsin Food is Medicine Coalition

Join our coalition to connect with your community and advocate for nutrition security through research, training and policy work. Together, we can make healthy food accessible to everyone.

Advancing Food is Medicine in Wisconsin
