Wisconsin Partnership Program announces new grantees
Children's Health Alliance of Wisconsin, along with the Medical College of Wisconsin and City of Milwaukee Health Department, was awarded a three-year grant for their project proposal: Preserving Infant and Child Health. The goal of this project is to develop a framework to collaborate child death review and fetal infant mortality review. Learn more.
A victory for the CDC National Asthma Control Program
Congress approved funding for the National Asthma Control Program at approximately $25.4 million, which funds the work of the Wisconsin Asthma Coalition. Thank you to all who helped to make this happen.

The Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program announces 7th funding cycle projects
Children's Health Alliance of Wisconsin, along with the Medical College of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Head Start Association and the Wisconsin Division of Public Health Oral Health Program, were awarded a five-year impact grant for their project proposal: Earlier is Better. The goal of Earlier is Better is to reduce the dental caries experience of Wisconsin Early Head Start children through evidence-based prevention and educational interventions during Early Head Start Programming. Statewide Head Start survey data collected in 2009 showed three-year-old children enrolled in Head Start had a caries experience rate of 25 percent, and by five years of age that rate nearly doubled. The project was awarded $746,485. Learn more.
