The Wisconsin Asthma Coalition (WAC) supports local asthma coalitions throughout Wisconsin working to implement asthma activities at the local level. Local asthma coalitions endorse WAC’s vision and mission and have adopted the Wisconsin Asthma Plan.
Local asthma coalition membership provides a strong link to WAC, coalition building, technical assistance, use of the WAC logo, grant opportunities and new partnerships.

As an initiative of WAC, the Alliance manages annual mini grants to support the work of local coalitions through:
- Local Coalition Development – to assist in the creation of a new local asthma coalition and identify priorities consistent with the Wisconsin Asthma Plan.
- Established Coalition Projects – support existing local asthma coalitions to implement projects consistent with the Wisconsin Asthma Plan.
